Preamble

This proposal serves as a formal request for a half-yearly grant (“Grant Proposal”) from BlackPool DAO for the period of H2-2025 (ending on December 31st), in continuation and recognition of the governance framework set by previous BlackPool-related initiatives.

The BlackPool Association ("Association”), based in the jurisdiction, e.g., Zug, Switzerland, is a key entity within the BlackPool ecosystem. It supports the development and growth of BlackPool through the coordination of contributor teams and the execution of strategic initiatives aligned with the long-term vision of BlackPool DAO.

The Association hereby requests a grant of USDC 110,000 in total for the execution of its planned roadmap for H2-2025. The grant size is informed by prior financial reporting and anticipated resource needs, including the planned recruitment of an additional smart contract developer and enhanced community outreach efforts.

  • M1: Deployment of the new Front End - Proposal BPIP9.
  • M2: Launch of the BlackPool Dashboard.

Association Autonomy

This Grant Proposal does not create a relationship of agency, employment, or partnership between the Association and BlackPool DAO. The Association remains autonomous in execution, free to engage third-party providers or leverage internal teams to fulfil the milestones.

Purpose and Limitation of Use

Funds are strictly designated for the milestones described above, which span research, development, community engagement, operations, and security for BlackPoo DAO. Misuse of funds will be subject to internal review mechanisms and may trigger community action.

IP Ownership and Open Source Commitment

The Association shall retain IP rights for works developed but commits to open-source publication of all smart contracts, frontends, and relevant infrastructure under a permissive license (MIT, BSD, Apache 2.0, etc.), ensuring transparency and community benefit.

Reporting Obligations

The Association will report monthly on the use of funds and milestone progress in its activity reports. These updates will be published publicly and ensure accountability in line with BlackPool’s governance expectations.

Conclusion

This proposal outlines a strategic and operational framework to continue the BlackPool Association’s work under the BlackPool DAO ecosystem for H1-2025. The Association commits to effective delivery, fiscal responsibility, and community transparency.
